Felting workshop

a spinning wheel with some wool, and a "gredeše", tool for combing the wool, in front of exposed red brick wall with arched opening.

In this workshop, you will try both dry felting and wet felting. Dry felting uses special needles with tiny hooks to compact and tangle the wool fibers. Wet felting uses soapy water, which helps tangle the fibers as you rub the wool with your hands. If you want to, you can also try your hand at spinning the wool into a string, but let us warn you, it’s not as easy as it looks.

We generally use ship wool for felting and alpaca wool for spinning.
