Pony trail

This is the trail we usually go on with our ponies or alpacas. We start at the barn and go around Smolnik, walking on a mix of gravel and asphalt roads.

Gonte-Grmada-Setnica

Starting from the Polhek cottage, we follow the road down over the first wooden bridge and then take a left turn. After around 30 meters, we go onto a narrow path on the right-side slope. We follow the way up for quite a while until we get to Gonte, where you can stop for a drink. From there, continue on towards Grmada. On the top, there is a circular table with the names of different mountains. Now you can start descending towards Mala Grmada, and then to the church on Setnica. If you’re hiking over the weekend, you can visit the farm pri Mehačku and order food. You can continue your descent on the main, asphalt road, or take the forest path that leads almost directly back to the cottage.

Tošč-Grmada-Setnica

This is a bit of an extension of the Gonte-Grmada-Setnica route. The trail starts by going to Tošč, and then joins the other route at Gonte. Towards the end, it also takes a different route down to the valley, which again extends the hike.

Polhograjska gora

The trail up Polhograjska gora starts at the Božnar House of Honey. The path is easy to follow, and the church of Saint Lovrenc at the top is a perfect place for a short break before heading back down.
